Opposition MPs boycott President’s Address in Parliament in support of the farmers’ struggle.
A group of around 150 men claiming to be “local residents” manages to get past three layers of security barricades on January 29 and reach the protest site at the Singhu border. They stage a brief protest of their own claiming that the farmers’ agitation is affecting their livelihood, and within no time clash with farm protesters.
