Farmers launch Mitti Satyagraha (Save the Lands Movement) from Dandi, Gujarat. Under the pledge to ‘save land’, Mitti Satyagraha Yatra was undertaken in March-April, 2021. The yatrawhich covered rural areas of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan was led by one of the prominent faces of the farmers’ movement Medha Patkar. Farmers with soil from Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Punjab reach Shahjahanpur Kheda on this day; they move to the Tikri border later.
