Sampoorna Kranti Diwas (Complete Revolution Day) is observed. There were protests organised all over the country in hundreds of places today, in response to Samyukt Kisan Morcha’s call. It was on this day in 1974 that a historical mass movement, Sampoorna Kranti, a mass movement against fascist, authoritarian and exploitative government of that time was launched by Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan. It was on June 5th 2020 that the Modi Government brought in 3 anti-farmer agricultural laws as Ordinances. In resistance gatherings all over the country, reports of which are still coming in, farmers and their supporters burnt copies of the 3 black acts outside the houses/offices of BJP leaders, leaders of other NDA allies and government offices.
