On July 15, the police raids houses of five local leaders some of whom run a langar for the Delhi bound protestors on NH-9 in wee hours and arrest them [10]. July 18, farmers put up tents near the district secretariat and SKM leader Sardar Baldev Singh Sirsa started his fast unto death demanding the release of the arrested farmers and withdrawal of the cases against them. The local court, while hearing the case, question the commission of offense of sedition against the farmers and grant them bail [11]. The fasting leader ends his fast on July 22 after the arrested protestors are released from the jail [12].
