The honourable Supreme Court takes Suo moto cognizance of the incident and asks UP police to file a progress report in the case. Two of the accused, Luvkush Rana and Ashish Pandey, are arrested by the UP police while the main accused, Ashish Mishra is asked to appear before the investigating agencies. The minister’s son failed to do so, police parties carry out search operations.
