Uttar Pradesh state government announces that it will withdraw stubble burning cases against farmers and revoke the fines imposed on them. The government also announces a possible hike in sugarcane prices in the coming days, clearance of sugarcane payment dues and not to disconnect electricity connections in case of power dues and waving of interest on such dues.
